* This Shabbat will be the yahrzeit-hilula of Rabbi Yonatan Ben Uziel (see article #2), the top student of the great sage Hillel. His burial site in Amuka Valley, outside of Tzefat, normally receives tens of thousands of visitors a year, especially those that heard it is a propitious place to pray to meet one's destined marriage partner — see our lead article.

* Accordingly, the first article focuses on the theme of "soulmates." The two articles following provide interesting background on this seminal figure in Jewish history and scholarship.

* The 5th article is for the 3rd chapter of the second cycle of Pirkei Avot, which many continue to study on Shabbat afternoons throughout the summer, until Rosh Hashana.

* Articles 6-7 relate directly to the main theme of the weekly Torah reading, Korach.
