This Shabbat will be Rosh Chodesh Menachem-Av, the first of the Nine Days (see articles #1,2,7) with its extra restrictions commemorating the destruction of the Holy Temples in Jerusalem, culminating on the ninth day, known as Tisha b'Av (Saturday nightfall, July 26-Sunday, nightfall).

Article #3 is from Tuv Ha'Aretz, a book devoted to Kabbalah teachings about the Holy Land, written by a student of the Holy Ari (whose celebration day is next week, Wednesday).

We continue [article #4] with the 3rd section of the impressive e-book Zohar translation and commentary by R. Peretz Auerbach of the Old City of Jerusalem.

This week's Torah reading combines two complete sections: Matot & Masai. Articles 5-6 are one each for Matot and Masai respectively.
