Welcome to our special SHAVUOT edition!
The Festival of Receiving the Torah at Sinai is the subject of the first five articles, including the story (#5).
The 6th article is for the 6th and final chapter of Pirkei Avot, which completes the first cycle for this Spring-Summer and is always studied on the Shabbat preceding Shavuot, while the 7th is for the Weekly Reading of Bamidbar, the first reading in the fourth book of the Torah, and also has a connection to the Festival.
Similarly, the articles 8 & 9 are for the Shabbat that follows the Festival—for the Torah reading of Naso, and
for the first chapter in the second cycle of Pirkei Avot, for those that continue to study this ethical tractate each Shabbat afternoon through the summer, until Rosh Hashana.
