A note from the staff of Kabbalah Online in Tzefat
This is the first full week of Adar, the Jewish "Merry Month of Mazal", which began last Shabbat - see articles #1-2.
The name of this week's reading, "Terumah," refers to the donations of materials for building the Sanctuary. Today the word is used, like "tzedaka," to refer to all giving to worthy Jewish causes(article 5). After the reading of Terumah (articles 5-7), in synagogue, an additional section for the "Shabbat of Remembering" (article #3) is read in a second scroll, Next week: special PURIM edition. Dedication
Mazal tov to KabbalaOnline.org managing editor, Yerachmiel Tilles, for his birthday on this coming Saturday night Sunday.
