Working for the Weekend
One’s focus should be on holiness – even during the weekdays.
"Six days shall your work be done, and the seventh day will be holy for you".

The Lubavitcher Rebbe explains that this is commanding us to not delve into the physical world, running after our livelihood more than necessary. The Jews need not do the work (actively) to make a living, rather the necessary tasks will be completed effortlessly, even by others, if the Jews will do G‑d's will.
Shabbat on Saturday Night
The souls of the righteous leave their graves at noon on Erev Shabbat, and do not return until midnight on Saturday night.
The sanctity of Shabbat lasts only during Shabbat, and as soon as we make havdala, the sanctity ends; However, the blessing of Shabbat extends into Saturday night and the Shabbat queen is still with us while we eat the Melaveh Malka meal.
