A note from the staff of Kabbalah Online in Tzefat
This Shabbat, in those synagogues still open (according to guidelines now in place for each particular locale), we are scheduled to hear the reading of:
(1) the weekly Torah Portion of Vayakel, (2) the weekly Torah Portion of Pekudei, (3) the special annual supplementary reading of HaChodesh, and (4) the blessings for the New Moon of Nissan and (5) the exciting unified shout "Hazak!" for completing publicly one of the Five Books of Moses. Articles #3-4 are for the special HaChodesh reading, while #5-6 are for the "double parsha," one each. The first two articles extol the spiritual virtues and joy of Shabbat, which is related to how Vayakhel begins (Ex. 35:1-3). Dedication
