A note from the staff of Kabbalah Online in Tzefat
This week's Torah reading, 'EIKEV', reading concludes with the second paragraph of the Shema Yisrael prayer, which together with the first paragraph (read last week) constitute the only two mentions of the mitzvah of mezuzah in the Torah. (article #1)
In addition, of all the hundreds of blessings that observant Jews recite, there is only one that is specifically required by the Torah and that is in this week's reading too. (article #2 Ba'al Shem Tov). This blessing appears in context of verses extolling he produce of the Holy Land (article #7 — a short story). Articles #4-6 offer inspiring commentaries on different sections of the weekly reading by three classic Kabbalists from previous centuries. The poem (#3) adds yet another perspective. |
