A note from the staff of Kabbalah Online in Tzefat
The first article presents teachings of the Magid of Mezritch, whose yahrzeit is on the 19th of the Jewish month of Kislev. It is taken from the "HaYomYom" of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, which includes an aphorism of wisdom and/or advice for each day of the year, starting from Yud-Tes Kislev!
The date is also the anniversary of the first publication of Tanya, an important primer for Kabbalah and Chasidut (see article #6 to sample a chapter), and also the date of the liberation of its author, Rabbi Shneur Zalman, a few years after. All three of the above events will be celebrated jointly on Yud-Tes Kislev this week (Mon. night-Tues), a chasidic celebration with important implications for the increased dissemination of the Inner Dimensions and Secrets of Torah. Prophetic dreams are a major theme is this week's reading and next (six such dreams altogether!); articles #2 & 7 relate to this topic. Next week: Our special CHANUKAH issue |
