The weekly reading, Shelach, illuminates the first time the Jewish people made a mistake about moving to our God-given homeland. (see articles #2,5,6 for Kabbalistic perspective on this topic.)
This Shabbat is the yahrzeit-hilula of Rabbi Yonatan Ben Uziel (see the lead article), the top student of the great sage Hillel. His burial site in Amuka Valley, outside of Tzefat, receives tens of thousands of visitors a year, especially those that heard it is a propitious place to pray to meet one's destined marriage partner.
The 4th article is an accessible and quite interesting article from the teachings of the Holy Ari of Tzefat, while the 5th is from a leading Kabbalist of our era and the 6th is from the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
The 3rd article is for the 3rd chapter of the second cycle of Pirkei Avot, which many continue to study on Shabbat afternoons until Rosh Hashana.
