Welcome to our special Lag b'Omer edition
In many places, Lag B'OMER is 'bonfire night, 'outing day' and so forth. In Israel it is primarily "ZOHAR DAY," with more than 250,000 people making the pilgrimage to Meron and the tomb of Rabbi Shimon Bar-Yochai, the source of the Zohar teachings. Articles #1-3, 7 offer different levels of Kabbalistic insights into this special day; while #4, on the Weekly Reading, presents yet another teaching of Rabbi Shimon.
The little known biblical holiday of Pesach Sheini, which occurs on the 14th of the Jewish month of Iyar (Monday of this week), is the subject of our 5th article. Hope you saved some matza!
