This is the first full week of the Jewish month of Shevat (see 1st article). The week begins with the yahrzeit (annual soul elevation) of Baba Sali (see last week's story) and ends with the yahrzeits on Shabbat, the 10th of Shevat, the leading Chasidic master, Rabbi Yosef-Yitzchak Shneersohn, the "Rayatz" of Chabad-Lubavitch (see article #2); and of the master Yemenite kabbalist, Rabbi Shalom Sharabi, the "Rashash" (see article #7), whose "Siddur/prayerbook with Kavanot/mystical intentions"is still so influential today.
Articles #4-6, for this week's Torah reading, from major Kabbalah sources, all directly or indirectly discuss the last of the Ten Plagues, appropriate in this year of the CCP virus pandemic. (Caution: Article #5 is quite advanced.)
Next week: A special TU B'SHVAT ISSUE
