This week marks the beginning of the 3293rd cycle of Torah readings since the Jews entered the land after Passover in the year 2488 AC (after Creation).
The first three articles relate to the opening weekly reading, Bereishit.
Saturday night-Monday will be the first Rosh Chodesh (see articles 5-6) celebration of new Jewish year 5781. On Shabbat, the exact time of the New Moon will be announced in all synagogues.
