This Shabbat, in synagogue, we will have:
(1) The reading/singing of the Hallel prayer in honor of Rosh Chodesh;
(2) the weekly Torah Portion of Vayikra, which opens Book 3 of the Torah, read from Torah scroll #1;
(3) The section about the Rosh Chodesh offerings in the Temple, read from Torah scroll #2
(4) the special supplementary reading of HaHodesh in honor of Rosh Chodesh Nissan and the upcoming Pesach holiday, read from Torah scroll #3 (a rare occurence!);
(5) the special Musaf prayer for Rosh Chodesh and Shabbat combined.

The first three articles provide fascinating insights into the significance of the New Moon in Judaism, the specialness of Shabbat and Rosh Chodesh falling together, and the uniqueness of the New Moon of the Jewish month of Nissan.
The last three offer Kabbalah layers of interpretation for the sacrifices, the main subject in this week's reading, and indeed of most of the Book.
