Welcome to our special Lag b'Omer issue:
In many places, Lag B'Omer (Saturday night-Sunday, May 13-14) is 'picnic day', 'bonfire night', 'outing day' and so forth. In Israel
it is primarily "Zohar Day," especially here in the Safed area, with 250,000 people making the pilgrimage to nearby Meron and the tomb of
Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, the source of the Zohar teachings. Articles #1,4,5,7 examine different aspects of this important occasion.

Articles #2-3 are for "Pesach Sheni" (Wednesday) the Torah's most overlooked holiday!
(one of them includes a lengthy Zohar quote)

This week's reading, Emor, contains the source verses for the mitzvah of Counting the Omer, which we are in the midst of now (see article #6, from the Zohar).
