Those who did not bring their Festival Offering on the first day of Pesach or Sukkot could still do so during the rest of the Biblically ordained seven days. But what about Shavuot, a one-day festival?
So the sages decreed that the six days following Shavuot, although not holy like the intermediate days of the other two pilgrim festivals, would be kosher to bring the festival offering. Therefore, this week has come to be know as the Days of Compensation, or Days of Completion.
In this spirit, the first three articles are from different continuing series on the site, allowing you the opportunity to begin, continue and complete.
