A note from the staff of Kabbalah Online in Tzefat
Welcome to our special PURIM issue!
In addition to being so much fun, PURIM is also quite fascinating. Six of the seven articles examine some of its many striking points of interest, including translations from the Zohar, the Baal haTanya, and the Ben Ish Chai. The lead article contains an outline of all the dates and commandments you need to know for this great time in the Jewish cycle. This year the festival falls on Saturday night-Sunday (unless you live in Jerusalem), so the Fast of Esther, usually the day preceding the holiday, is advanced to this Thursday. And since it is the Shabbat before Purim, we append to the Weekly Reading (see article #6) an extra section, called Zachor ("Remember!" - see article #5) Gear up for the Purim holiday with "Purim Light" - a Kabbalistic eBook on sale now for only $12 at Kabbala Online Shop. Dedication
For the soul-elevation of Aryeh-Leib ben Eliyahu HaKohen (Leon A.
Lauterbach) on the occasion of the third yahrzeit, Shabbat, 13 Adar/Erev Purim
And mazal-tov to KabbalaOnline.org's managing editor, Yerachmiel Tilles, on the official launch of his new book, "Saturday night, Full Moon," this Monday evening in Safed, hosted by Ascent-of-Safed and the staff of Menorah Books from Jerusalem. |
