Thursday is "New Moon Day" for the Jewish month of NISAN, in which the PASSOVER Seder takes place during the eve of the 15th ("Full Moon Day"). It is also the first day when, according to kabbalah, it is ideal to say the special "Annual Blessing Over Blossoming Fruit Trees." (article #2. If you miss it, the rest of the days of Nissan are also 'kosher' for it).
In the first reading of the third book, Vayikra (articles #4-6), which we began this week, there is detailed discussion of different types of offerings and sacrifices. — One element common to them all is that they were accompanied by salt. See article #3 (and the story - #7) for a Kabbalah look at this basic yet vital ingredient.
