A note from the staff of Kabbalah Online in Tzefat
See DEDICATION below.
A lot of accessible classic Kabbalah this week from Ari and Rashash (article #3) and Bachya (article #4). In addition, article #2, "The 72 Names of G‑d," is one of our most requested topics. The Shabbat of reading Parashat Beshalach is also known as the "Shabbat of Song," as it contains the song sung after the crossing of the Reed Sea, when the entire Jewish were in a state of enlightenment (article #5) Also, Beshalach is read in close proximity to the holiday of 15th B'Shevat, and there are in fact many beautiful and deep allusions to 15th B'Shevat in it. (article #6) Articles 2-6 all relate to the weekly Torah reading, either totally or partially. Dedication
By the staff of KabbalaOnline.org in respectful memory of
Rabbi Shalom Sharabi ("Rashash"), the great Yemenite 18th century Kabbalist, whose "Siddur/prayerbook with Kavanot/mystical intentions" is still so influential today, (see article #4), and Rabbi Yosef-Yitzchak Shneersohn, the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe (see articles 1, 7): two giants of the Inner dimensions of Torah, both of whose yahrzeits fall on the 10th of Shevat (this Tuesday night-Wednesday). |
