Welcome to our special LAG B'OMER edition - articles 1, 4-7.
Article #2 celebrates a little-known holy day that falls on 14 Iyar (Wednesday of this week)
The Torah reading of Bahar is the subject of article #3.
The 4th article connects to the 4th chapter of Pirkei Avot ("Major Sayings of the Sages"), which we study on the six afternoons between the festivals of Pesach and Shavuot through a statement in the Zohar.
The seven Weeks of Counting Omer are connected to the Seven Divine Attributes, as are the seven days of each of those weeks. Lag b'Omer is strongly infused with the fifth attribute, HOD,
because Lag b'Omer falls on the fifth day of the fifth week, when we enumerate: "Hod of Hod." Appropriately, this is the subject of article #5!
We continue with the second section of the impressive e-book Zohar translation and commentary [article #6] by R. Peretz Auerbach of the Old City of Jerusalem.
