A note from the staff of Kabbalah Online in Tzefat
This Shabbat we will bless the new moon of Nissan (1st article), the month in which the Passover Seder takes place on its full moon night.
We also read an additional section of the Torah from a second parchment scroll, which delineates the first mitzvah of the Jewish people (2nd article), establishing months based on the appearance of the new moon, and then in great detail the laws of the Pesach lamb offering. Articles (4-7) relate to the regular weekly reading of Shemini. |
