A note from the staff of Kabbalah Online in Tzefat
Eating Kosher is the main topic of the latter half of this week's Torah reading. It is also the main theme in the first two and last articles.
This Shabbat afternoon we start our weekly study of Pirkei Avot - "Chapters (of teachings and principles) of (our) Fathers". Some do it each Shabbat until the festival of Shavuot, while others continue until Rosh Hashana. See articles #3-4 for interesting samples from chapter 1. Article #5 offers an insight for the mitzvah of Counting the Omer, which began the 2nd night of Passover and concludes the night before Shavuot. |
