A note from the staff of Kabbalah Online in Tzefat
This week's Torah reading opens with the commandment to the high priest to kindle the Temple Menorah daily, including the special manner in which it must be done.
The second and fourth articles examine these concepts in great depth: the first from the leader of the 16th century kabbalists of Tzefat, the second from a known contemporary Kabbalist who lived in the Old City of Jerusalem until he passed on recently in 2013. The sixth article is for the second chapter of Pirkei Avot, for those who continue to study it on Shabbat afternoons throughout the summer.
