This week starts with two days of Rosh Chodesh IYAR.
Our 2nd article offers some surprising insights about the new Jewish month. It is followed by a penetrating approach to Rosh Chodesh in general.

In this week's Reading, many of the Ten Commandments are repeated, although in different language. Our lead article takes another look at Honor Your Parents. Twenty-nine of the 50 Omer counts take place in Iyar — Article #4 offers a powerful spiritual insight from the Zohar for this commandment.

The 5th article presents insights for the 2nd chapter of Pirkei Avot (the Mishnaic tractate of 'Ethical Principles'), of which we study one chapter each Shabbat until Shavuot (and many repeat the cycle until Rosh Hashana).
