A note from the staff of Kabbalah Online in Tzefat
AVOT Chapter 1 - The 2nd article presents mystical insights for a teaching in the first chapter of Pirkei Avot (the Mishnaic tractate of 'Ethical Principles'),
of which we study one chapter each Shabbat until Shavuot (and many repeat the cycle until Rosh Hashana). Since the 2nd night of Pesach we have been "Counting the Omer" - see articles #3-4 We held over the Annual Tree blessing from last week on the home page — a nice family activity during the weekdays of the festival, if you haven't recited it yet. (About the lead article, see the dedication) (Those of you in ISRAEL should click to Kedoshim for articles on the Weekly Reading there.) Dedication
of Rabbi Chaim Vital (see lead article and #7, the story), the main disciple of the "Holy Ari" and the only one permitted to record his teachings. |
