A note from the staff of Kabbalah Online in Tzefat
Welcome to our special Tu B'Shvat edition.
Six of the 7 articles are for Tu B'Shvat, the annual
celebration of Fruit-bearing trees in Israel, which coincides with
this Shabbat
The first 3 are easily comprehensible; articles #4-5 are more difficult. One of them (article #5) is from our exclusive translation online of "Tuv HaAretz," a major book of Kabbalah about the Land of Israel. Here in Tzefat, at ASCENT, we will be celebrating our 34th annual Kabbalistic Tu B'shvat Seder during our Tu b'Shvat retreat [Feb. 9-11.] Also, Sunday night - Monday is Yud Shevat, the yahrzeits of Rabbi J. I. Schneersohn (the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe) and of Rabbi Shalom Sharabi ["Reshash"], the great Yemenite 18th century Kabbalist, whose prayerbook with Kavanot/mystical intentions" is still so influential today. ATTENTION: two ebooks for this week and next: one for Tu B'Shvat and one for the Ten Commandments. See them at our Kabbala Online Shop website Dedication
(this year: Friday, Feb.10) He is the author of Matok Midvash ("Sweeter than Honey"), the increasingly popular Hebrew commentary on the Zohar and Tikuney Zohar. Most of our Zohar writers rely heavily on his explanations. |
