This Shabbat, in synagogue, we will have:
(1) The reading/singing of the Hallel prayer in honor of Rosh Chodesh;
(2) the weekly Torah Portion of Tazria, read from Torah scroll #1 (articles #5-7);
(3) The section about the Rosh Chodesh offerings in the Temple, read from Torah scroll #2;
(4) the special supplementary reading of parashat HaChodesh in honor of Rosh Chodesh Nissan (articles #1-3),
including one that examines deeply the significance of Shabbat and Rosh Chodesh falling together,
and the slaughtering and eating of the Passover lamb (article #4), read from Torah scroll #3 (a rare occurrence)!
(5) the special Musaf prayer for Rosh Chodesh and Shabbat combined.
