A note from the staff of Kabbalah Online in Tzefat
This week's Torah portion, Ki Tisa, contains two pivotal events in the relationship between the Almighty and the Jewish people:
the sin of the Golden Calf and subsequently gaining forgiveness for that sin (articles 4 - 5). The lead article relates to the important Shabbat section (31:12-17) in the Reading, which is also part of the Shabbat Daytime Kiddush benediction. Tuesday is "Purim Katan/Little Purim". That means start the 30-day countdown to the "Big Purim" and its celebration that we look so forward to. Dedication
whose 9th yahrzeit is on Friday, 17 Adar the date upon which Rabbi Yosef Caro completed the Shulchan Aruch Code of Jewish Law in 1563 here in Tzefat. |
