The first two articles are relevant to the Magid of Mezritch
whose yahrzeit is on 19 Kislev this also being the anniversary day of the first publication of Tanya (article #3) an important primer for Kabbalah and Chasidut
and also of the liberation from prison of its author a few years later.
All three of the above events will be celebrated jointly on Yud-Tes Kislev this week (Wed. night-Thurs).
The 4th article is based on the Bat Ayin (see last week's dedication).
It presents a creative blending of the Weekly Reading and the Upcoming Festival of Lights, as does [somewhat] the article which follows it.
Thus, they also serve as a preview of our special Chanukah issue next week.
