A note from the staff of Kabbalah Online in Tzefat
This Wednesday, 14th
day of the Jewish month of Iyar, is "Second Passover,"
a nearly unknown biblical holiday full of meaningful import (see lead article and the story). We will be reading about it in the Weekly Reading in another three weeks. Saturday night starts Lag B'Omer, which could really also be called "Kabbalah Day" — especially here in the Safed-Meron area (see articles 2-4). Celebrate with us - if not in body, at least in spirit! Send your personal prayer along with a donation of $36 to Kabbala Online Shop to be recited at Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai's gravesite in Meron on Lag B'Omer. [All prayers must be received by Saturday night, May 17, 2014.] Dedication
head of the Safed-Chabad community from its modern inception with his arrival in 1973 until his tragic untimely death twenty-five years later, on the occasion of his 16th yahrzeit this Friday, 16 Iyar |
