In memory of Rabbi MORDECHAI-TZEMEK ELIYAHU,
one of the leading sages in the state of Israel in the last sixty-five years,
a major judge of Jewish law for the Sephardic communities,
a former chief rabbi of Israel and --not so publicly known-- an accomplished Kabbalist,
whose 3rd yahrzeit is this Monday (25 Sivan / June 3).
He is also the father of Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu,
whom we know personally from his 25 years of service as chief Rabbi of Safed,
and also from his active and enthusiastic participation in many ASCENT* outreach activities.

Leibel Zisman, a genuine Holocaust hero, at 93 years old still energetically electrifies audiences. Last week he suffered a terrible accident. He needs and deserves our prayers. So please pray that Yosef Aryeh Leib ben Liba Bluma should be granted Divine Mercy and a full recovery.
