A note from the staff of Kabbalah Online in Tzefat
This is the first full week of Iyar; our lead article offers
some surprising insights about this Jewish month.
Iyar also contains Lag b'Omer, which in Israel is strongly associated with the holy primer of Kabbalah, the Zohar. The 2nd article is a menu of our selections (so far!) from a not yet completed, most thorough yet translation and commentary, which starts at the very beginning and skips nothing. The 4th article, by the famed Ben Ish Hai of Bagdad, is for the third chapter of Pirkei Avot, which will study this Shabbat afternoon. The Weekly Reading combines two separate readings; these are the subject of the last three articles: a Zohar, a readable Ari, and a really cool story. |

Silence Speaks
But what does it mean to not say anything? . . . To sit in your house in silence? Not at all.
