Welcome to our special LAG b'OMER issue
In many places, Lag B'Omer is 'picnic day,' 'bonfire night, 'outing day' and so forth.
In Israel it is primarily "Zohar Day," with 250,000 people making the pilgrimage to Meron and the tomb of Rashbi, the source of the Zohar teachings.
The first four articles and the story at the end examine different aspects of this important occasion.
(BTW, this story could conceivably be the inspiration for the popular Lag B'Omer children's parades in the last few decades.)
The 5th article is also from the Zohar, but it is for "Pesach Sheni," the Torah's most overlooked holiday!
It is followed by an article for the Weekly Torah Reading, Behar.

(Viewers outside of Israel should click to Emor for articles on the Weekly Reading there.)
