A note from the staff of Kabbalah Online in Tzefat
This week
starts with two days of Rosh Hodesh IYAR, and our lead article offers some
surprising insights about the new Jewish month.
Iyar is the month that contains Lag b'Omer, which in Israel is strongly associated with the holy primer of Kabbalah, the Zohar. The 2nd article is a menu of our selections (so far!) from a not yet completed, most thorough yet translation and commentary, which starts at the very beginning and skips nothing. The 4th article is for the third chapter of Pirkei Avot, which will study this Shabbat afternoon. The Weekly Reading combines two separate readings; these are the subject of the last three articles, including a nifty story. (Viewers outside of Israel should click to Tazria-Metzora for articles on the Weekly Reading there.) |
