A note from the staff of Kabbalah Online in Tzefat
It is in this week's Torah Reading, which relates all the events immediately prior to the Exodus, that we find the first mention of Mezuzahs on doorposts.
This is also the subject of this week's first two articles — one from the Zohar and one from a physicist! This Shabbat, 4 Shevat, is the yahrzeit of Rabbi Yisrael Abuhatzira, or the “Baba Sali” as he was affectionately known throughout the Jewish world. Tens of thousands of people are expected to converge at his resting place in Nativot this week. — see the 3rd article and the story (7th). Among other interesting topics in the Weekly Reading, covered in articles 4 - 6, are: Free Will, locust plagues, and Redemption of the Firstborn - the latter in somewhat difficult Arizal piece. |
