Kabbala Online is organized into 10 categories and 59 sub-categories. To display a category's main page, where a list of sub-categories is found, click on the category name on the main navigation menu, found at the top left-hand side of the screen. On a category's main page, to see a list of sub-categories and featured articles, scroll down; under each sub-category is a list of featured articles. To see a complete list of all the articles in that sub-category, click on the "more" MORE > link or the sub-category heading. To view an article, click on the article title.

The category main pages can be reached from the navigation menu on the left or at the bottom of each page. They are organized loosely in order from basic through advanced material. The first three categories of "Introductions," "Kabbala & Daily Life," and "Kabbala & Society" offer the basics.

The larger, bold text in each article is the direct translation of the Kabbala source.

The smaller, plain text is the explanation of the translator/editor.

Grey text can be rolled over to provide a popup explanation. An entry in the popup with an asterisk is further explained in the Dictionary of Terms or the Index of Sages, accessible from the top navigation bar).

Footnotes are indicated by numbers in brackets [1]. Click the number to see the text of the note, then click on the "Back" Internet navigation button to continue reading the article.

"Holy Days," "Weekly Torah," "Chasidism," and "Meditation & Prayer" offer more intermediate level material. The latter includes an original translation and commentary on the beloved Shabbat prayer, "Lecha Dodi".

The most advanced material will generally be found in the categories of "Safed Teachings" and "Major Concepts." The first includes many translations of the holy Zohar, Ari, and Ramak that have never appeared in English before, as well as biographies and bibliographies for the great Safed kabbalists. Also in the "Safed Teachings" section is our extensive annotation of "Shaar Gilgulim" - "Gate of Reincarnations", one of the most popular features on the site. The (as yet) partial translation of "Tuv Ha'aretz" - "The Goodness of the Land" in our "Major Conepts" section is deep and complex, but of great interest to every lover of the holy land.

The Reference section has several sub-categories of materials and tools to help you understand the articles on the rest of the site. Glossaries include a Dictionary of Kabbala Terms and an Index of Kabbala Sages and Books; they are available from every page. At Questions & Answers you can peruse other users' questions and our answers. Recommended Reading has reviews of kabbala books in English. Links is an extensive list of other places to learn kabbala and Torah on the world wide web. At Real-Time Study you can link to real people teaching kabbala live around the globe - hopefully near you or your destination.

You can Ask the Kabbalist your questions, Send-a-Prayer to the gravesites of kabbala sages and other great tzaddikim here in the Safed area, and subscribe to our weekly e-mails from every page.

Finally, there is a detailed, clickable schematic of the whole web site on the
